LibDems are campaigning to reduce speed limits around schools and Play areas

Your local Liberal Democrat FOCUS team are pursuing a "twenty is plenty" campaign to reduce speed limits around schools and play areas. Over 72% of people responding to our Residents Survey wanted a 20mph zone on their road/street. Most of the accidents involving pedestrians, particularly children, happen on roads in 30mph areas.

At 20mph only one in twenty is killed. Most injuries are slight and three out of ten suffer no injury at all.

At 30mph nearly half are killed.

At 40mph nearly all are killed.

Sign our petition to reduce speed limits around schools and play areas.
