What to do with your Christmas Tree

January 5, 2017 10:12 AM

As the 12 days of Christmas draw to a close, many will be taking down their Christmas tree this weekend.

To get rid of your real tree you can either pay the Council to take it away or you can take it to the Waste and Recycling centre on Tom Benson Way (first roundabout North of Preston Sports Arena). The winter opening times are 7 days a week, 8am - 5pm.

There is a charge of £5 for the Council to take it away. Unfortunately, you have to fill out an on line 'recycle your Christmas tree form'

If you are a Garden Waste subscriber (pay for your brown bin to be emptied) then the Council have suggested you chop up yout tree and put it in the brown bin. You can find your collection day here

Happy New Year
